Kaumba PrimarySchool history
Kaumba Primary School is in a zonal school in a rural area about 1/2 hours drive from Monze town on unmade roads. The school takes children from farming villages. The school was built in 1940 but in October 2017 a classroom block collapsed in the rain leaving 350 children without classrooms. The PTA asked our partners Zambia Women and Girls Foundation for help re-building the school. The PTA provided bricks and ox-carts of sand as well as labour. We planned what was needed with Department of Education buildings officer and agreed to start building in April 2018.
