Friends of Monze (FoM) works through a strong partnership with Zambia Women and Girls Foundation (ZaWGF) a registered Non-Government Organisation based in Monze, Zambia.
The organisations are made up of a number of skilled people.
Paul Green Vice Chairperson FoM
Born and bred in Bridgend.
Spent my working life in the construction and property sectors, running my own successful company for the last thirty two years.
A recent graduate of Cardiff Metropolitan University.
As a Christian I now wish to help others less fortunate.

Alistair Nelson. Treasurer FoM
Alistair is a physicist by profession and lectured at Cardiff University for many years. He also ran a research group in computational physics during that time, and sat on research fund awarding panels and advisory panels to the government on high performance computing. For many years he also acted as a software development consultant, working for many high profile companies and organisations in various industries, including British Telecom, the London Stock Exchange, the Ministry of Defence, and Royal Mail, as well as several financial companies. From 2012 to 2015 he was a Trustee and Treasurer of the charity Emmaus South Wales..

Gill Nelson - Trustee Secretary FoM
Gill worked for many years as a teacher and went on to become a counsellor specialising in substance misuse.

Deana Owen - Chair of Trustees FoM
A retired Health Visitor and nurse. Deana founded Friends of Monze in 2013 following her visit to the town. In the short time since, she has tirelessly worked to make the charity the thriving and vibrant organisation it is today.

Lynne Rees, Trustee FoM
Lynne has an academic background in the social sciences and has previously worked both in research and social work.

Belinda Green Trustee FoM
Worked in the NHS as a District Nurse and manager. Belinda is a long time supporter of Friends of Monze. She visited the schools in Monze in June 2019 and was so impressed by the work we are doing she became a trustee.
