Hamangaba School re-built 2022

Deana was invited to visit this school by the headmaster in July 2022. It is in the rural west area of Monze town, the school  gets cut off in the rainy season.

In 2022 overcrowding was so bad the 750 children aged 5-16 at the school were taught in 3 shifts.

Fortunately the school has a good supply of water from a borehole so we were able to put a roof on two old classrooms relieving congestion in the other classrooms and giving the children more learning time.

Another charity was able to fence a school garden and provide permaculture training,

We provided a solar water pump in 2024, and look forwards to seeing vegetables growing in the school garden.

Hamangaba still needs teachers houses.
