After completing my secondary school education, I worked as a bank clerk with Standard Chartered Bank for five years. Later I joined Finance Bank after the former sold their business to them. I held various positions in the bank starting with that of Clerk, Foreign Exchange Dealer, Teller, Credit officer, Customer Service Officer, Anti Money Laundering Officer, Cash Officer, Internal Control/Compliance Officer, Departmental Supervisor.

I progressed to Assistant Manager and Branch Manager at Finance Bank Monze and Kalomo Branches respectively.

Finally I worked at Finance Bank Choma regional office as Bank of Zambia Southern Region Control Officer.

I started my banking career with a Grade 12 certificated at clerical level, which is the most junior position at the bank, but I left the bank as a senior officer, managerial grade position which is the most senior position at branch level. I achieved this by obtaining a Certificate and Diploma in Banking and Finance. I hold a Certificate in Accounts.

My plan was to stop working when I reach 50 years of age or 20 years’ service. After having worked for the bank for 20 years, I left the bank and set up my own business as planned. This is one of my greatest achievements in life.

Passion

I believe in working with and helping the most vulnerable women and children in our society. This is the very reason I decided to accept to work with ZaWGF as a Treasurer. My expertise will be used to ensure all the grants are well accounted for and used accordingly to benefit the intended beneficiaries.
