Classroom before we built
Children were having lessons outdoors with unqualified teachers when Friends of Monze trustees visited them in June 2019.
The villagers moulded and fired bricks to build their school
Villagers at kachindu worked hard moulding and firing bricks. They collected sand using ox-carts.
The children were excited to see their school going up.
Imagine having lessons outside and every day seeing your school being built.
Here they are ready to learn in their new school building
We delivered desks and books before the schools closed in March 2020 due to the COVID pandemic.
We build 2 houses ready for the Monze Department of Education to deploy qualified teachers. This will really raise the standard of education for the villagers.
